Why does the AMB-001 Milanese Mesh Bracelet have unequal-length mesh panels?
Answer:
Our AMB-001 Milanese Mesh Bracelets always offer two different lengths of mesh panels on every bracelet. The 6 o'clock, or 6 hour (6H), side of the mesh is always significantly shorter than the 12 o'clock side.
Most people have never given it thought, and would just assume the human wrist forms a perfect oval in section. In fact, the wrist is not a perfect oval at all but rather its own unique shape. Our AMB-001 takes into account this irregular shape and is designed so the clasp will always be well-centered on the underside of the wrist. This is an especially important feature that will be best appreciated by those fellow enthusiasts who are well-experienced with strap and bracelet fitment.
We spent a solid two years on proper R&D to develop our AMB-001 Milanese Mesh Bracelet. Each of our (4) bracelet lengths -- Mid-Size, Standard, Long, Extra-Long -- uses specially calibrated 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock mesh panels to ensure every wearer will have a well-centered and well-balanced clasp fitment.
Other mesh bracelet companies will give you two equal-length mesh panels and ask you to try and find a "good enough" fit. Our AMB-001 bracelets are tailored down to the millimeter so that the clasp will never sit too far in one direction or the other.
We hope you will try the most carefully refined Milanese mesh bracelet ever developed, our AMB-001 Milanese Mesh Bracelet, on your favorite watch sometime soon! 🙂
