What taxes/VAT, import duties, and fees do I have to pay?

 

Answer: 

The taxes, VAT, import duties, and other applicable charges depend on your shipping destination.

 

For USA Customers - Sales Tax:

Sales tax currently applies only to orders shipped to California. The applicable sales tax will be calculated and displayed at checkout. 

Orders shipped to other US states will not be charged sales tax by us at checkout.

 

For International Customers - Managed Markets Destinations:

For most international destinations, AMB uses Shopify Managed Markets, with a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping arrangement.

For these destinations, applicable VAT, import duties, and other import-related charges are already included in the product prices displayed on our website.

At checkout, you can select your preferred available shipping method. The shipping cost for your selected method will be added to your order total.

The price displayed on the product page already accounts for applicable import charges. There should be no additional VAT, import duties, or customs charges to pay upon delivery.

In other words, you can see the total product price upfront, select your preferred shipping option, and complete your purchase without having to worry about unexpected import charges upon arrival.

 

For International Customers - Non-Managed Markets Destinations:

The following destinations are currently not serviced through Shopify Managed Markets: Isle of Man, Kuwait, Türkiye, and Vatican City.

For orders shipped to these destinations, VAT, import duties, customs charges, and other applicable fees are not collected at checkout. Instead, these charges are assessed by the destination country's customs authorities and must be paid by the recipient upon delivery. Customers are responsible for all applicable import charges, including any additional fees imposed by the shipping carrier.

If a shipment is refused, undeliverable, or returned due to unpaid duties, taxes, or other charges, all associated return shipping, customs, brokerage, and related fees incurred during the return process will be deducted from any applicable refund.
